Garden-to-Plate Planting Calendar
Type a ZIP code and get your frost dates and a planting plan for up to 28 vegetables and herbs.
What it does
- Your average last spring frost and first fall frost, plus “play it safe” dates.
- Your USDA hardiness zone, and the weather station used and how far away it is.
- When to start seeds indoors, when to plant or sow outside, and when to do fall planting.
- A year chart, a 2-page print-ready PDF calendar, and a reminders file for Google, Apple or Outlook calendars.
- Frost-free areas are told honestly that frost calendars don't apply.
Where it runs and what stays private
Works offline, with no accounts.
Good to know
- Each ZIP uses the nearest weather station with freeze records, and it warns when that station is over 25 miles away.
- Elevation and microclimate can shift dates by weeks.
- USDA zones cover the lower 48 states only.
